tecknet usb camera Tecknet USB Webcam and MicrophoneIt’s only £9.99 at Amazon, so why bother reading my review. It’s that cheap you can sling it if you find that it’s a load of crap! I like the look of the Tecknet USB Webcam. It looks like something from a 50′s sci fi. Little bit retro in looks but the quality is far from it. Its got some really good reviews on Amazon (read em here)

The web cam itself is up to 5.0 Mega pixels resolution which is really quite good for something so cheap. The lens is high quality too so its great for camming with some young girl from the philippines but make sure you don’t get too close if your a bit rough because the picture is quite clear! Audio quality is good too but lets face it who’s gonna be talking to chicks on it? It comes with some software to install it and you can be up and running in a couple of minutes. Quick tip though, remember to lock your bedroom door and clear your browser history.

samson g track Samson G Track GM1U USB Microphone

I was initially disappointed when I   my Samson GM1U as I had been told that it comes with a large diagram. Imagine my shock to find out that I had misread the package and it was actually a large “diaphragm”!! What is a diaphragm anyway? I would much prefer a large diagram because I could pin it to my bedroom wall to cover the dirty palm prints above my headboard. Fortunately the build and sound quality of this USB Microphone soon won me round. It’s got a natty 3 position headphone switch for stereo, mono or computer monitoring and it looks rather funky on its stand by my desktop.

It’s really simple to use. Just plug it in and your ready to go. Even someone from Barnsley could manage that. not that they’ve got computer’s in Barnsley so I suppose my analogy is pointless. And before you start giving me grief – I am originally from Barnsley but I came to my senses and moved out. If you don’t know what Barnsley is like then an apt illustration would be that if a nuclear bomb exploded in the town centre it would do about £25 worth of damage. Oh that reminds me of a joke – The Barnsley Bakers Association – celebrating 100 years in bread!!

The mic is a silver colour and comes packed with Cakewalk Sonar………hmmmmm Cake

sony PS3 wireless headset 150x150 Sony PS3 Wireless Headset

This PS3 Wireless Headset for Sony is Bluetooth compatible and will allow much better sound quality. The PS3’s on screen display shows volume level, mute status and battery fuel gauge. The headset can be used as a stand alone microphone when it is docked in its charging cradle. It is small, compact and sleek and also compatible with Bluetooth enabled mobile phones.

Review

I use mine for CoD 5 and the sound, both being sent and received is crystal clear, and must be the best from any Bluetooth headset. It also has nice little features like an on-screen display for battery life and whether mic-mute is on or off.

The headset is light, fits easily over the ear and the hook is adjustable for extra comfort and stability. Although in my experience it doesn’t seem to fit in the ear that well, however, it has never fallen off or out.

Battery life is about the same as the controllers (about 6 hours talk time), but re-charging is quick through the supplied stand, which also doubles up as a desktop microphone. I warn you though, in this mode the mic is very sensitive. It heard me talking to my bro about 15 meters away, make sure it is switched off when in the stand.

All in all it looks great and performs amazingly. No regrets buying, and not a bad price. So where’s yours?

Prices start at only £17.99 with free delivery from Amazon.
