Simply plug in your instrument of choice, whether it’s a drum machine, guitar, keyboard or MP3 player. Plug the mic into your computer and record both vocals and instrument as a finished track. The mic has an on board headphone output for monitoring and a nifty LED that flashes green for go and red for clipping. It also comes bundled with a desktop stand, all the necessary cables and Cakewalk’s Sonar LE music recording software.

The G-Track has a nice, solid build quality although it is a little on the heavy side if your going to be carrying it around with you.

Sound quality is, as you would expect from Samson – pretty decent. I didn’t notice any glitches whilst using it.

Oh boy do I love this microphone. So much so that I am using it in my home studio from now on! The signal range is awesome; it catches everything I throw at it from deep rumbling lows to high, glossy hiss. A word of warning though – It will pick up a lot of ambient noise so would be better suited to someone with a very quiet recording space or a vocal booth.

Another little feature that I like is the blue led light. It looks rather cool in the low light of my studio.

Product Features

Side-address studio condenser with USB digital output (Windows and Mac compatible)

Crystal-clear, natural sound for podcasting, home studio recording, field recording, and voiceover use

Custom-engineered low-mass diaphragm provides extended frequency response and superior transient response

Cardioid polar pattern reduces pickup of sounds from the sides and rear, improving isolation of desired sound source

Low self-noise perfectly suited for sophisticated digital recording equipment
