Having purchased Rock Band 2 and a wireless guitar I really wanted a microphone so that my wife (and friends) could join in. Having failed to find anywhere on the high street selling USB microphones I searched Amazon and found this one.
I plugged it in, loaded Rock Band 2 and it worked right away. You can change the in-game settings for sensitivity etc but mine was great out of the box. If you own Rock Band / Guitar Hero and want a microphone I recommend this one, and at around £13 an absolute bargain!
